Sulphur Springs and Mt. Pleasant Top Hallsville


SULPHUR SPRINGS 48, HALLSVILLE 33: HALLSVILLE — Keaston Willis paced Sulphur with 16 points, and the Wildcats doubled up on Hallsville in the middle two quarters en route to a 48-33 District 16-5A win.

Sulphur Springs held a slim 8-6 lead after one quarter, but outscored the Bobcats 32-16 over the next 16 minutes to take control.

Shadd Berg had 14 points and Jeremy Swalley nine for Hallsville, which will host Mount Pleasant on Tuesday.

MOUNT PLEASANT 62, HALLSVILLE 41: HALLSVILLE — Kevin Savage paced Mount Pleasant with 16 points, and the Tigers moved to 6-1 in District 16-5A play (21-5 overall) with a 62-41 win over Hallsville.

Jeremy Swalley had 15 points in the loss for Hallsville (14-15, 2-5). Shadd Berg and Cameron Bullock had seven points apiece, Ty Huff six, Kobe Hogan four and Rowdy Smith two.

Hallsville visits Greenville on Friday.
