Hallsville Opens District with Loss to Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT 70, HALLSVILLE 42: MOUNT PLEASANT — The Mount Pleasant Tigers pulled away in the second half to roll past Hallsville, 70-42, in a District 16-5A contest.

The Tigers led 30-26 at halftime before outscoring the Bobcats 15-7 in the third and 25-9 in the final quarter.

Kobe Hogan had 10 points in the loss for Hallsville. Jeremy Swalley and Shadd Berg had nine apiece.

Hallsville will host Canton on Friday.
