Hallsville rolls over Pine Tree

HALLSVILLE 74, PINE TREE 52: HALLSVILLE — Blaine Parker led the way for Hallsville with 19 points, and the Bobcats built a big halftime lead en route to a 74-52 District 16-5A win over the Pine Tree Pirates on Tuesday.

Kameron Fitzpatrick added 12 points and Brendarian Dawson 10 for Hallsville (18-5, 2-1), which led 44-22 at halftime. Chris Timberlake and Jeremy Swalley had eight apiece, Shadd Berg and Matt Mowery seven each and Cameron Bullock three.

J.J. Sparkman scored 11 points in the loss for Pine Tree (6-13, 1-3). Kenny Jackson scored nine, Nick Noll and Pokey Best eight, Tray Williams six, Eric Hawkins four and Nate Teal, Trey Pruitt and Will Harris two apiece.

Pine Tree is idle on Friday. Hallsville visits Marshall.
