Marshall’s Carrington Love nabbed Offensive Most Valuable Player honors in the recently released District 16-5A basketball honor roll. Hallsville’s Parker Helping ETBU as Freshman
Blaine Parker, a Hallsville graduate, is having a strong freshman season with East Texas Baptist University. Parker, a right-handed pitcher, helped the Tigers shut out UT Tyler for 4.2 innings in a seven-inning game to upset the No. 12 team in the nation, 4-2. In the game, he allowed only four hits and pitched a tough first inning with runners on second and third and two outs.
